BEFORE YOU START
A few honest answers.
Will I need to replace my options app?
No. OptionGuard tests the storefront your existing setup produces. It doesn’t create product options or read a vendor’s private database. Your theme and option UI need supported, configurable selectors.
Will a test create an order?
No. It uses a separate browser cart and stops before checkout. Tests can appear in storefront analytics or abandoned-cart counts. No fulfillment or payment is triggered.
Can it restore my products or a removed app?
Restore replaces only OptionGuard’s saved scenario configuration. Readable catalog and theme data can be exported. Private vendor data cannot be recovered by this app.
Do I need a developer?
Usually for the initial scenario selectors on a custom theme. We can help you define the first audit. Saved tests can then be run from the Shopify admin.
Can it guarantee every order is correct?
No. It checks selected combinations and a bounded sample of recent orders. Discounts, historical prices and different markets may require review. Other app installation changes must be declared manually.
